Students do not have to pass a test to gain a place at Landau Forte College Derby we are not a selective school. We pride ourselves on our inclusive ethos. All students who select the College as one of their top three preference schools will be invited to the school in November to sit a test. The test helps us ensure we have a comprehensive intake of students, covering all academic abilities. We split the cohort into nine stanines of ability and select a specific number of students in each stanine, to ensure that our intake is truly comprehensive. Your child does not need to revise for the test or participate in extra tutoring to prepare for the test. The test simply helps us ensure we select students from all ability groups.
The local authority you live in will make you aware of which secondary school your child has been allocated on National Offer Day, 1 March 2021.
You can lodge an admissions appeal. You can contact the school, on or after 1 March 2021 to find out more about this process.
