MCAS Student Portal
We hope you are finding the MCAS (My Child at School) app a useful way of managing payments and gathering information on your child’s attendance. Students likewise have a portal that they have logged into at College and will be using this to view and submit any homework that they are set. From next week, staff at the College will be setting students homework and this will appear for them on their portal and for yourselves as parents to monitor via the MCAS App. Students can of course log into their portal at home via a tablet or laptop.
There is also a student app that your child can download onto a smartphone if you wish them to do so. Instructions to do this are found via this link to our website.
The College is really pleased with how Year 7 have settled in this year and how well they are working within our LEARN framework. Moving forward, in the event that students are repeatedly not following LEARN in lessons, they may be issued with a 15 minute catchup at the end of the day. This will take place from 15:10 to 15:25 and notification will come via the MCAS app and student portal. If students do not attend a catchup, they will then receive a 1 hour catchup after College on a Friday. Notification of this will again come via the MCAS app. We are grateful of your support with this.
