I went on to study Law at
Oxford University, a masters at
University College London, and
the Bar Professional Training
Course at Nottingham.
My main goal career-wise is to
become a fully-fledged barrister
and I am currently working
towards that as a self-employed
County Court Advocate. One
of the lessons I’ve learned in
pursuing that goal is that you
have to continue to believe
in yourself no matter what
set-backs you have and what
challenges you face.
During my time at Landau,
I was always a talented
mathematician and scientist.
Conversely, I was weak
throughout the early years
in English, due to it being my
second language. However, I
really enjoyed it and worked so
hard to improve in that subject
that my best A-Level results
were in English. I knew I wanted
to have a career that utilised a
subject I loved and that is one
of the main reasons I chose Law,
another being my passion for
debating.
My experience has shown me
that if you want something
badly enough and work hard
enough for it, you will succeed
eventually, regardless of your
talent at it.
I will always remember my time
at Landau with fondness. I have
many memories such as hosting
LFC: TV, running the Debating
Society and the fun I had with
my friends and colleagues,
especially in Chemistry A-Level
and BTEC Art.
