In… this year it was a pleasure to see the return of the annual

Landau Forte College Sports Presentation evening, where students

sporting achievements were celebrated in front of an audience

of parents, students, staff and guests. Mrs E Coffey, presented the

awards to over 100 students from across all key stages, who were

recognised for their sporting successes within the curriculum and

beyond. Here is just a selection of the sporting accolades that

Day 5

Day 8

Well, today for breakfast the menu was SALTED

APPLES with rice pudding! The bag we thought was

sugar turned out to be salt. After a long morning

we started our late trek to the waterfall, which we

thought was our final destination. After an hour of

trekking we stopped for a drink and got bitten by giant

flies that the 100% DEET didn’t even get rid of.When

we arrived at the waterfall we all stripped off to our

swimming costumes and jumped in!

We were clean again.

We awoke at 5.30am and immediately burst into song

to wish Lucy a very happy birthday. By 6.30am our safari

guides had arrived to collect us ready for Day 2 of the

safari. It started with a fantastic view of the sunrise

which then was made better by seeing zebras, lions,

leopards, hippos, giraffes, elephants and many more

amazing animals. The two days spent on safari were

amazing. When we arrived back at River Valley the staff

had blown up balloons (very hard to find in Tanzania)

put up banners and made a massive chocolate cake for

Lucy.We had a great night celebrating her birthday.
