On Friday at 11am the whole College stood together in a moving tribute to those who have lost their lives in conflict. All staff and students observed a minute’s silence and listened to the playing of The Last Post. It was a very moving tribute to those who are no longer with us.
The College has been beautifully decorated with poppies and silhouettes of Tommies, the World War One soldiers. Students participated in lessons across all subject areas that linked to World War One and developed their knowledge of the conflict and sacrifices made by the people who served in WW1. Students baked cookies and produced poppy stickers which were sold at lunchtime and raised over £50 for The British Legion. A great whole College effort – well done to everyone involved!
