Remote access is available to all staff and students with a College user account. The College provides remote access to email, the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and Remote Desktop Connection.
Landau Forte College Derby provides staff and students with remote access to their email via Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA). They can access their email by clicking the link below:
When the login page appears you will need to enter your College username and password in the following format:
- Username: username
- Password: password
Remember to replace ‘username’ and ‘password’ with the username and password you use to login to the College network.
Email on Mobile Devices
Landau Forte College Derby provides students and staff the ability to add their email accounts, including their contacts and calendars, to their mobile device. For information on how to do this, please follow the relevant guide attached below. If you have any issues configuring email on your mobile device, contact a member of the IT team.
Show My Homework
Show My Homework is a simple online homework calendar showing homework information, deadlines and attachments for students. More information can be found below:
Show My Homework have also created a Parent Pack which may provide some further useful information:
We have made Show My Homework available for students, parents/carers and staff. You will need an account to login. The College will send you your unique PIN number which you can use to create your account. Here are some instructions to help you once you’ve received your PIN:

The Landau Forte College Derby Virtual Learning Environment (LFC VLE) enables staff and students to work on projects and coursework inside and outside of College. They can access the LFC VLE outside the College by logging into Remote Desktop and following the link on the Portal.

Remote Desktop allows staff and students to connect to the College network as if they were sitting at a College computer. Much of the software and networked drives they use on a regular basis are available so they can work from their home computer seamlessly. Details on how to use Remote Desktop are provided in the guide below.
