Parents’ Evenings form a really important part of the communication between the College and parents/carers.
We operate mixed economy of in-person and virtual parents evenings, with most year groups having one in-person and one virtual evening per year.
There are exceptions to this, for example both Year 11 parents’ evenings are in-person, reflecting the particular significance of this year for our students.
The in-person parents’ evenings give us the opportunity for families to access additional advice, guidance and support, including careers advice, support from the Individual Needs team and direct access to the College’s Executive team. The onsite parents’ evenings have been carefully scheduled to be as effective as possible, for example there will be an in-person Year 8 parents’ evening just before students make their GCSE pathway choices.
We use SchoolCloud to facilitate the booking of appointments irrespective of whether the evening is in-person or virtual.
In-person evenings take place at the College and virtual evenings take place via video call using the SchoolCloud platform.
To facilitate the smooth running of the parent/carer evenings’, the College day will finish at 3.00pm for all year groups on the dates below.
