Good morning,
Just a reminder that the last day of term tomorrow is a non-uniform day in support of Save the Children. Staff and students can pay £1 to wear non uniform, there will also be a bake and samosa sale at lunchtime.
After the break we will be making changes to our timetabling. Now Year 11 and Year 13 have left us there is additional space within the building, staff will move back to teaching in their own classrooms and students will move from classroom to classroom. Students will move around the building, following a strict one way system. We will continue to ask that staff and students wear face coverings in communal areas and we want to thank our students for their positivity and compliance with following this guidance.
Students will be emailed their new timetable this week and Year 7 students will complete an orientation session, showing them how to read their timetable and move sensibly around the building, before the end of this week. In PE, after the break, we will use the changing rooms as normal but with ‘seating plans’ in place, as they are in lessons, for contact tracing purposes.
Arrangements will remain the same for break and lunchtimes, with students remaining in year group bubbles. There will be a short presentation for students about the changes to arrangements in tutor time/ first lesson back on Monday 7 June.
We have updated our risk assessment and will maintain our enhanced cleaning routines, with a focus on toilets and high frequency touch points. Covid 19 cases within the school and the local area are much reduced but we will continue to be vigilant and maintain our high standards. Please do also remember that if your child or anyone in your household is displaying symptoms of Covid 19 your child must not attend school, you must follow self-isolation guidance and the individual displaying Covid 19 symptoms must take a PCR test. Please also do continue to ensure your family take their twice weekly lateral flow tests.
Thank you for your on-going support this academic year, it is very much appreciated. If you have any questions on the content of this email please do contact me via the PA to the Principal, [email protected] .
We hope you and your family have a safe, restful and happy end of term break.
Kind regards,
Alison Brannick
