In recent student parliament meetings, we had a few students who said they wanted to do some work to help in their local community- particularly with the current cost of living crisis. Following this on Friday we took a group of 10 students including some of our Landau Forte Parliament members to the Hope Centre on Curzon Street, Derby. The students helped the colleagues and volunteers at the centre to prepare for their fundraising sale the following day- they helped move items and get the centre fully stocked with clothes on rails and a tombola set up. The students were a fantastic representation of the college, and have been welcomed back to help at the centre!
