Year 9 students recently visited the HQ of Williams Racing. The visit was really successful and our students thoroughly enjoyed their day out! The students took part in a Lego Mindstorms EV3 activity in which they worked in teams to program a robotic car and create a promotional video. The activity was heavily linked to careers and each team member fulfilled a different career role. Each team presented their work as a pitch and all students participated in the presentations. The winning team were awarded a STEM certificate and Williams hat at the end of the day! Students also experienced a tour of the museum and some time on the racing simulators which they thoroughly enjoyed. We hope this visit will become an annual event.
