We are so proud of our Sixth Form student, Matilda Wiggins, who was selected to participate in the highly prestigious national Folio Mentorship scheme, via her incredible work with First Story. Folio Academy Mentors and First Story Mentees meet face-to-face as well as online to work on a creative writing portfolio project, which is then shared at a public showcase. Matilda was paired with mentor and author Peter Hobbs. Peter is the author of two novels and has won and been shortlisted for numerous literary awards. It was an fantastic experience for Matilda to work with and be mentored by Peter and the beautiful work she produced absolutely showcased her creative writing talents. Matilda performed her work, in front of an audience, at the historic London Library. A very fitting venue for such a talented and creative young writer to showcase her inspirational work!
We look forward to supporting Matilda on her next venture as the Young Producer at the Derby Poetry Festival.
