Our students had a fabulous time during the last week of the academic year!
Sports Days took place for Years 7 to 10 and participation in every year group was exceptional. The Sports Days focused on team sports such as Handball, Cricket, Netball and Football. The Year 8 event was extra special as it encompassed our annual
Musa Memorial Tournament. It was a pleasure to welcome Musa’s family on site and a very special visitor from KORT, Mohammed Akhtar, to present the trophies to the winning teams of Opportunity and Diversity who won the netball and football competitions. We have now raised over £10,000 for KORT in memory of our dear student Musa.
Well done to Versatility House who were the overall winners of Sports Week!
Students were treated to a free visit to Roller World in reward for hard work and great attendance. Well done to the hundreds of students who qualified for the reward events – a brilliant time was had by all!
The ice cream van visited on several occasions in the last week of term to reward students and staff with free ice creams to celebrate our Ofsted Outstanding grading from March this year! We continue to be so proud of our exceptional student and staff teams!
Finally, Friday was our annual, incredible Culture Day and our students looked amazing! It was such a pleasure to welcome our students into school to the sound of Indian Drumming! Our students were wearing beautiful outfits which celebrated their cultural heritage. Through out the day students participated in creative workshops including Morris dancing, Latin American dancing, cultural cookery, drumming workshops and watched a global dance showcase put together by students from Years 7 and 8.
An amazing final week at our wonderful school! Wishing all in the Landau Community a peaceful and restful summer break.
