A fantastic 69% pupils have gained five or more A* to C grades, including English and maths – up 4% from 2015 – and making it one of the College’s best-ever results in the past six years.
Principal Alison Brannick said: “I am delighted with these results which follow an excellent A-level performance last week. The College continues to improve what we offer our students and this is reflected in the number of top grades achieved, and also the high proportion of students who are progressing to our sixth form. We aim to be a flagship school for the city and will build towards this again next year.”
Georgia Lewis, 16, said: “I got all A*s but one which was an A, so I’m really please. It’s been a bit crazy waiting for today to come – it’s been really emotional. Everyone seems to be happy with their results so that’s great.”
